Product Manager (Silicon Valley)

What you will do:

Integrate emerging technologies, user experiences, capabilities and products that have the potential to be transformative to businesses and team members.

Refine and prioritize the items in the product backlog. Collaborate and work across organizational groups to understand their priorities and identify where to accelerate innovation for business impact.

Drive the development of tax preparation automations with a high level logically sequenced roadmap and detailed execution plans to capitalize on the possibilities of new technologies.

Participate in sprint review meetings, inspect the product development increments to ensure that it is lined with the roadmap and objective.

Motivating and engaging your design, engineering, and service delivery partners.

Translate pain points into a solutions that can be tested with customers.

Review the pending product backlog items, add better estimates, detailed descriptions and re-prioritize them if needed.

Who are you:

5+ years’ work experience in product management in FinTech or Accounting fields, including product strategy and execution.

Proven experience in product management of multiple initiatives with competing priorities, multiple external dependencies and disparate resourcing.

Detail-oriented with proven ability to independently manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously; Comfort with building and nurturing new concepts to be embedded or scaled into core business products and services.

Solid business and technical aptitude for identifying and leveraging new technologies to innovate existing products based on the larger business context and the organization’s overall strategic goals.

Proficiency at scaling yourself by leveraging cross-functional partners. Strategic thinker as well as tactical executor, continually assessing prospective new products for desirability, feasibility and viability.

Excellent quantitative, analytical and critical thinking skills to validate assumptions, develop business cases, and inform roadmap prioritization.

Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to interact effectively with IT management, Salesforce, and website development teams.

Entrepreneurial mind-set and outcome focused personality preferred, ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment.

Working knowledge of IT systems, Agile, and Salesforce with agile development methodologies.

Proactive, self-starter with excellent project management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Experimental mindset, ability to qualitatively and quantitatively validate product concepts and assumptions through rapid and iterative testing (e.g. A/B and multivariate testing).

The Nitty Gritty:

Looking for someone who can work a fixed schedule overlapping with US time zones, but we’re flexible on how that might look. Open to candidates who can do full time (40 hours) or ¾ time (30 hours).
